Holubice v Čechách

V roce 2020 byly při stavbě jímky ve východním sousedství kostela Narození Panny Marie v Holubicích odkryty zbytky rozsáhlého pyrotechnologického zařízení. V průběhu výzkumu bylo zařízení interpretováno jako vápenná pec, později bylo určení zpřesněno na milířovací jámu na pálení vápna. Další části objektu nalezené v letech 2021 a 2023 umožnily rekonstruovat podobu a rozměry této zajímavé technické památky. Dataci na základě keramiky doplnila radiokabonová analýza, která dává objekt do možné souvislosti se stavbou sousedního kostela kladenou do první třetiny 13. století.

Pit pile for burning lime from the late hillfort period from Holubice, district Prague-west

In 2020, during the construction of a sump in the eastern neighborhood of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Holubice, the remains of an extensive pyrotechnic device were uncovered. During the research, the device was interpreted as a lime kiln, later the designation was refined to a pit pile for burning lime. Other parts of the building found in 2021 and 2023 made it possible to reconstruct the form and dimensions of this interesting technical monument. The dating based on ceramics was supplemented by radiocarbon analysis, which puts the object in a possible connection with the construction of the neighboring church, dated to the first third of the 13th century.
